Food and beveragerevenue is the second major income for the hotel business and guests in thehouse as the main target market for restaurants and bars inside the hotel. Datafrom some hotels in Nusa Dua resort area show that most of their guests havingdinner outside the hotel. The purpose of this study is to find out reasons thatmotivate hotels guests having dinner outside or dining out. Data werecollected by self administered questionnaire by guests that stay in Nusa Duaarea and were analyzed using factor analysis. The result shows that there arethree main reasons that motivate guests for dining out, such as to get a goodvalue for money, to relax in agood atmosphere, and to know the surrounding area.
